Dr. Roy Danks grew up in the Topeka area. He graduated from Washburn University with degrees in biology and chemistry then went on to attend the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. He completed his general surgery residency at Northeast Regional Medical Center, Kirksville, MO and a Fellowship at The University of Iowa Hospital specializing in Burn Surgery and Surgical Critical Care. Dr. Danks’ focus is general surgery, endoscopy, complex wounds and wound care, trauma surgery and surgical critical care. He is a member of the U.S. Army Reserve and has served tours of duty in both Iraq and Afghanistan, both at Combat Support Hospitals. Dr. Danks speaks nationally on topics related to general surgery, military and civilian trauma and burn care. His area of interest in general surgery is minimally invasive hernia repair and gastroesophageal reflux disease. Dr. Danks has moved to the Great Bend area with his wife Dr. Corrie Danks and family. While not working, he enjoys hunting, cycling and running.
