Hospital Services+

  • Dietary Services – Patient meal times are 8:00 am, 12:00 pm, and 5:50 pm.  The dining room  for family members and visitors is open Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 2:00 pm
  • Consulting Dietician – available upon request of the patient or your physician
  • Social Services and Discharge Planning – services are available Monday – Friday.  Our discharge planning staff will work to make the transition home or to a different level of care as smooth as possible
  • Chaplain Services – Several chaplains within the Great Bend area to provide services on a weekly rotating schedule.  If you would like your own minister to visit you while you are in the hospital, please request our staff to contact them
  • Financial Services – a benefit screener is available to assist patients in obtaining public assistance.  Patients seeking financial assistance will need to complete and submit GBRH financial forms.  Contact extension 6206.
  • Notary Public – we have several notaries on site.  Please contact extension 6280 to make arrangements.
  • Smoking Cessation Program – talk to our healthcare providers about options that may assist in helping you stop smoking
  • Telephones – to receive incoming calls and to make local outside calls
  • Wi-Fi – available throughout the hospital, free of charge
  • Sleep Kits – available upon request for our inpatients

Heartland’s Women and Children’s Center+

The Heartland Women and Children’s Center offers the latest in labor an delivery care.  The Center was designed with your comfort in mind.  Our facility includes:

  • 4 Delivery rooms with private Jacuzzi tubs
  • 4 Post partum rooms
  • 8 Bassinets
  • Level II Nursery
  • 4 Pediatric Rooms

Our Level II Nursery allows specialists at the Heartland Women and Children’s Center to provide care for newborns who need more specialized care.  With a Level II nursery, our highly trained physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals can care for most newborns delivered at 32 weeks or later, giving you and your baby the care you deserve.
